Onitsha gears up for 2025 Ofala festival
All is now set for the 2025 Onitsha Ofala Festival of His Royal Majesty, the Obi of Onitsha, Igwe Alfred Achebe, with the Nigeria Tourism Development Commission endorsing it as a major festival in Nigeria.
The Chairman, Strategic Marketing Communications Sub-committee for the 2025 Ofala Festival, Nn’emeka Maduegbuna, during a press briefing at the Obi of Onitsha palace in Onitsha, on Thursday, said the festival, themed ‘Njiko na Ntachi,’ ‘Unity and Perseverance’, emphasises the importance of community and resilience.
Maduegbuna, while briefing journalists on the level of preparation for the festival, added that the festival, which will begin on October 17, reflects the monarch’s message of hope and resilience amid the prevailing hardship in the country.
